STAR TREK INTO DARKNESS: SPOILER FREE

Last night I saw the premiere of Star Trek Into Darkness and I thought it was fantastic. What I like and appreciate from director J.J. Abrams (which makes me very excited for the future of Star Wars), is that he not only appeals and pleases longtime Trek fans but has the ability to attract new ones. There are so many little surprises that are thrown in along the way that the long time fan can smile about and have enough of a story to give birth to a new Trekkie or Trekker. This is something to not miss!

When I started writing this review, I decided right away to make it spoiler free. Why? Because this is one of those films that hardcore Trek fans and soon to be converts should have a chance to experience and enjoy without anyone spoiling it for them. All I will say, is bravo to the performances of Chris Pine, Zachary Quinto and Benedict Cumberbatch as well as the entire Enterprise crew but those three in particular stood out and makes me look forward to further adventures of NCC-1701.
Next week I’ll give a more in depth review. Until then, I encourage all of you to boldly see this wonderful adventure, you will not be disappointed.
Live Long and Prosper!

May the Dork be with you,

James aka “The Dork Knight” is a blogger and writer based out of Upstate New York. For James, it all started with a long time ago in a galaxy far, far away… when he dragged his mom to see The Empire Strikes Back 10 weeks in a row. He lives and breathes nerd culture. James is proof that a Star Wars fanatic can be a passionate Trekkie as well. So much so James dressed up as Captain Kirk to the premiere of Star Trek VI in 1991 and still has the uniform. When it comes to Comic Books, Sci-Fi or Fantasy whether in print or digital, in the theatre or on my TV screen, I’m all about it and I love it. So bring your Phaser (set to stun), Lightsaber, Sonic Screwdriver, a Wand, Mjolnir or the Ring to rule them all, because this site is for the dork in all of us.
