ARROW RECAP: TREMORS

The show runners at Arrowsimply get it. They understand the fan base and they understand in year two what took the producers of Smallville nearly its entire run to do. And that is simply to bring its DC mythology and its catalog of characters to life. I look forward to each and every Wednesday and this season has been nothing short of a thrill ride. Warning spoilers ahead…

I would say from the middle part of season one till last night’s Tremors episode, Arrow has laid the groundwork for a wealth of possibilities. Characters like Slade Wilson, Deadshot, Sebastian Blood and Black Canary have already become players in this universe. The recent mention of Ra’s al Ghul and the League of Assassins furthers such wealth. And now having Amanda Waller pay a visit to the imprisoned Bronze Tiger and referring to a “squad” she is putting together only wets the appetite. Let us not forget Royand his red hoodie being trained by Oliver and seemingly looking more like Speedy from the comics than the affectionate nickname that Ollie gave to his sister Thea in season one. Oh, and did I mention Barry Allen?
Yes indeed, a wealth of possibilities. So far, so good. So far the show runners have had the Midas touch. Let’s hope it continues.
May the Dork be with you,

James aka “The Dork Knight” is a blogger and writer based out of Upstate New York. For James, it all started with a long time ago in a galaxy far, far away… when he dragged his mom to see The Empire Strikes Back 10 weeks in a row. He lives and breathes nerd culture. James is proof that a Star Wars fanatic can be a passionate Trekkie as well. So much so James dressed up as Captain Kirk to the premiere of Star Trek VI in 1991 and still has the uniform. When it comes to Comic Books, Sci-Fi or Fantasy whether in print or digital, in the theatre or on my TV screen, I’m all about it and I love it. So bring your Phaser (set to stun), Lightsaber, Sonic Screwdriver, a Wand, Mjolnir or the Ring to rule them all, because this site is for the dork in all of us.
