Just when Barry thought he had seen the last of Grodd, Gypsy arrives, ambushes the team and after being subdued by Earth-2 Harrison Wells, the team learns that Grodd has an army of gorillas ready to attack Central City. Warning, spoilers ahead…

After learning of Grodd’s pending attack, Cisco uses his vibe powers to decipher the when and where this attack will take place. Unfortunately, it turns out to be diversion as Grodd kidnaps an Army general in another part of town. After failing to stop Grodd, Barry tells Iris that he regrets not killing Solovar when Grodd asked him to. Perhaps if he did, none of this would be happening now. Iris comforts Barry by reminding him why his compassion makes him such a hero.

With the General under Grodd’s control, Grodd orders a nuclear strike on Central City. When Barry puts a stop to the strike, Grodd orders an attack on the city with his army of gorillas. As Flash, Kid Flash and Jessie Quick ready themselves for the invasion, Cisco travels to Earth-19 to seek Gypsy’s help. As the speed trio work on the army of gorillas, Cisco and Gypsy return with Solovar where he defeats Grodd and reclaims control once again. All the gorillas return to Earth-2 with Solovar except Grodd.

The closing moments saw Barry propose to Iris and after Jesse decides to stay with Wally on Earth-1, he is confronted by Savitar.

Overall a satisfying conclusion to a this two-parter as we begin the final stretch of the Savitar story-line.

James aka “The Dork Knight” is a blogger and writer based out of Upstate New York. For James, it all started with a long time ago in a galaxy far, far away… when he dragged his mom to see The Empire Strikes Back 10 weeks in a row. He lives and breathes nerd culture. James is proof that a Star Wars fanatic can be a passionate Trekkie as well. So much so James dressed up as Captain Kirk to the premiere of Star Trek VI in 1991 and still has the uniform. When it comes to Comic Books, Sci-Fi or Fantasy whether in print or digital, in the theatre or on my TV screen, I’m all about it and I love it.
