ABOUT ME

At New York Comic Con 2011

James aka “The Dork Knight” is a blogger and writer based out of Upstate New York. For James, it all started with a long time ago in a galaxy far, far away… when he dragged his mom to see The Empire Strikes Back 10 weeks in a row. He lives and breathes nerd culture. James is proof that a Star Wars fanatic can be a passionate Trekkie as well. So much so James dressed up as Captain Kirk to the première of Star Trek VI in 1991 and to this day, he still has the uniform.

Other influences that fed James’ dork side was watching the original Star Trek, Battlestar Galactica, Wonder Woman and of course the Dynamic Duo in Batman. Every Saturday after bowling he would spend his weekly allowance at the local Comic shop and embrace the adventures of Batman, the New Teen Titans and Spider-Man. James learned to appreciate all forms of storytelling thanks to writers like Marv Wolfman and artists like George Perez.

When it comes to Comic Books, Sci-Fi or Fantasy whether in print or digital, in the theater or on his TV screen, James is all about it and loves every minute of it. So bring your Phaser (set to stun), Lightsaber, Sonic Screwdriver, a Wand, Mjolnir or the Ring to rule them all, because this site, www.the-dork-knight.com, is for the dork in all of us.

When not blogging, James can be found either at the movies or visiting different comic book and sci-fi conventions. He also posts breaking news and random thoughts of dorkiness on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and Pinterest. He can be reached via email at james@the-dork-knight.com
