When we last saw Kara, she was defeated by Reign (Odette Anable) as she fell to the Earth. But don’t fret, the Legion of Superheroes is here. Warning, spoilers ahead….
As Kara remains in a coma, the DEO and the Legion tap into some 31st century technology to help heal her. Legion member, Querl Dox uses telepathy to enter Kara’s mind to help wake her up. As the team tries to cure Kara, Sam struggles as she tries to have a normal life with Ruby but with her alter ego of Reign takes control. With Reign wreaking havoc throughout National City, the DEO and Legion have their hands full. She is even able to break free of her kryptonite restraints. In order to defeat Reign, it is deducted that an injection of kryptonite would be the only way to subdue her. For that however, they would need Supergirl to wake up from her comatose state. Meanwhile Mon-El (Chris Wood) struggles with his hesitation to help because the future of his people would be in jeopardy should something happen to him. He is later convinced by his wife Imra Ardeen (Amy Jackson) that they need to help and to not fear the unknown.
Kara ultimately recovers from her coma and joins the DEO and Legion for a showdown with Reign. After a lengthy battle, Kara’s able to inject Reign with a dose of liquefied kryptonite. The dose was strong enough to force Reign to retreat. The nights battle may have been won by Supergirl and the Legion of Super-Heroes but the war would be far from over. With Reign recuperating in her fortress, it is discovered that she is not alone in this fight against Supergirl. She learns that there are other Worldkillers just like her as we see Thomas Coville (Chad Lowe) joining her.
A very solid return to the airwaves for Supergirl as she continues to face a real threat in the form of Reign and the Worldkillers.
